A Boat, A Boat!

The message of this short English Drinking Song is clear. The pub is on the other side of the water and they must catch a ferry to get there. Hurry up before we miss it! Written by John Jenkins in the early 17th century, this probably had a local significance where he was from.
Lyrics
A boat, A boat!
Haste to the ferry!
For we’ll go over to be merry!
To laugh and sing and drink old sherry.
